Get Certified with Fitness Alberta (AFLCA)
In Alberta, fitness leaders are certified through Fitness Alberta, the organization formerly known as the AFLCA. The theory requirement is now the Foundations in Physical Activity and Exercise exam, written online from home or at a testing centre, with an 80% pass mark. Fitness Alberta also requires current CPR (issued within the last 24 months) for certification, and you have one year from your Foundations course to finish your theory and practical requirements.
Our Alberta course gives you that theory foundation in plain language: anatomy, physiology, movement mechanics, training principles and nutrition, with 600+ practice questions to make the exam format second nature.
Is AFLCA the Same as Fitness Alberta?
Yes. AFLCA rebranded to Fitness Alberta; it's the same certifying body that registers fitness professionals in Alberta. Many students still search for "AFLCA," so whether you call it AFLCA or Fitness Alberta, this course prepares you for the same theory exam and certification path.

Update: "I have completed the Fitness theory exam and I passed!"
