Get MFC Certified in Manitoba
In Manitoba, the Manitoba Fitness Council (MFC) requires Exercise Theory before any certification course. The MFC exam fee is $82, written online through a secure platform, with sittings held regularly. One timing detail to plan around: the exam must be written within one month of an in-person course, or within six months if you study by distance education, so self-paced students get a longer runway. Candidates must be at least 16 and hold current CPR (Heart Saver) and First Aid (Emergency) for accreditation.
Our Manitoba course covers the full MFC theory scope - leadership, anatomy, physiology, applied movement mechanics, training principles, exercise analysis and risk management, body composition, program planning and nutrition - in plain language with 600+ practice questions in the exam's format.
Who Needs This MFC Exercise Theory Course?
This course is for anyone in Manitoba who wants to become a fitness instructor (personal trainer, group fitness, yoga or pilates instructor, older adult instructor, and more) or get MFC certified. Exercise Theory is the prerequisite for all MFC certification courses.
The MFC is Manitoba's provincial affiliate of Fitness Leadership Canada (formerly the NFLA), a credential recognized across Canada and in many countries around the world.
