Course Description

There are over 600 muscles in our body, each performing various functions from chewing to isometric contraction. The more we expose our body to specific types of stressors, the greater the muscular adaptation.  Behind their ability to execute tasks is the nervous system, composed of the PNS and CNS. Look beyond the surface and understand the interactions between the microscopic components of your muscles.

Learn about the different types of muscular contractions, skeletal muscle structure, neural components, principles behind muscular contraction, and post-exercise conditions.
